About Our Weekly Security Patch
We would like to inform you about an important initiative that we are undertaking to ensure the security and compliance of our CEC IT infrastructure with the FIU cybersecurity policies.
To address any vulnerabilities detected in the operating systems or applications installed on your work computers, we will be applying critical security patches regularly. These patches are designed to remediate any potential security risks and maintain the integrity of our systems.
Following is the weekly schedule in which the security patches will be released for the computers in each department:

| CEE | Tuesday, Thursday – 2:00AM |
| CM | Tuesday, Thursday – 3:00AM |
| DO | Wednesday, Friday – 1:00AM |
| ECE | Monday, Friday – 1:00AM |
| EM | Wednesday, Friday – 2:00AM |
| MME | Monday, Friday – 1:00AM |
Please note that this will be an ongoing effort, and your computer will receive these patches on a weekly basis according to the schedule set for your department. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping your computers up to date and secure.

How to Prepare
To avoid interruptions, please:
- Save work and log off before 8 PM ET each Tuesday
- Notify us of any critical processes running during the window
- Contact our Help Desk for exemptions or support
