What does MyFIU credentials give me access to?

What is Citrix?
Citrix is an application that provides a virtualization solution for engineering applications and desktop delivery for any devices, over any network. Simply download their client or sign on to the web interface in order to access all of your applications that you will need for your engineering/computing classes.
How can I access/download Citrix?
Citrix can be accessed by downloading their client to your computer or via their web interface. It is strongly recommended to use the Citrix client, as not all apps work on the web interface. For more information on how to setup your own Citrix client, please visit our page here for instructions.
What operating systems are supported?
The Citrix client supports both Windows and Mac environments. Specific instructions on Citrix client setup for your operating system can be found here.
What do I need to access Citrix?
To login to Citrix and access the software application you will need your MyFIU credentials.

Shared Drives
Shared drives are drives that each student has access to, that is linked to their CEC account. This gives students the ability to store files and data on our servers that are able to be accessed from anywhere via a remote connection. The student’s folder will be labeled the H: drive and will be for personal use. All work should be saved here, especially when using a remote desktop connection.
How can I access my shared drives?

How can I access the computer labs?
Our computer labs can be accessed in person or via remote desktop connection with a stable internet connection.
Using your MyFIU Credentials: Please click here to find out how to access our labs remotely using your MyFIU account to get access to all the programs/apps you may need for your classes. Please note, you will need to have FIU’s VPN working in order to access our labs remotely.
When are the computer labs open?
We recommend that our labs be accessed via remote connection with MyFIU credentials which are accessible 24/7. Our physical labs can be accessed according to the following schedule:

Open hours for EC 2330, 2710, 2830, 2832, 2840, 3229:
Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Please note the computer labs are closed for university holidays, maintenance periods between semesters, and due to unexpected emergencies.
How do I log in to the computers remotely?
You can login using your MyFIU account to access our computer labs remotely and must have FIU’s VPN active.

For issues accessing our labs remotely, please visit our help desk and submit a support ticket with detailed instructions and screenshots (if applicable) and someone on our support team will reach out and assist you.
EIC Help Desk
The Engineering Information Center provides Help Desk Services to our Engineering and Computing community. In order for you to be able to log into the Help Desk, you will utilize your MyFIU Credentials.
Printing Services
We have a variety of options for printing at EIC, whether it’s for class or senior design projects. Printing services are available for all students and staff within CEC and an initial credit of $10 is applied to your account at the beginning of the semester.
Laptop Loaner Program
Laptop computers are available for checkout to any Engineering student in good standing currently enrolled in a College of Engineering course. For checkout and return times please check with the office staff.
